Hello! So, as you all who have been following me from the beginning know, I recently transferred to Texas A&M where I now reside. You all probably also know that I am a self-proclaimed coffee addict – so, obviously I’ve had to search the area for the B E S T coffee shops here. Luckily I have a coffee-loving partner in crime, Caroline, (check out her blog – capitalismandcoffee.com) who has explored with me! Here’s a list of all of my favorites so far.
Lupa’s – Lupa’s Coffee was one of the first coffee shops that I visited in College Station. I tried an iced salted caramel mocha and was not a fan. BUT, one thing I couldn’t get enough of was the atmosphere. Lupa’s has more of a studying vibe inside, and a social vibe outside. On my second visit, I got a vanilla latte and LOVED IT! It was so fresh and delicious; this completely renewed my love for Lupa’s! They even make the cute latte art- yay!
Harvest – Yesterday I made a little day trip for myself and visited Bryan – the next town over from College Station. I made it a point to visit Harvest Coffee which I loved. It’s a low-key, dark atmosphere. Definitely not the most poppin’ place to be, but if you’re looking to veg out and study, this is the place for you. I ordered an iced caramel latte which was delicious! Great coffee, great vibes.
Sweet Eugene’s House of Java – Okay y’all, THIS IS MY FAVORITE. This is truly a spot for the cool kidz. Just kidding. This is a mix between a chill and lively atmosphere. There are people who play games, study, or just come to chill out. There’s plenty of space but it gets busy! It kind of reminds me of the Central Perk on Friends – honestly the coolest feel. The menu is also to die for. I’ve tried the iced mocha, iced coffee, and iced latte. The iced latte is very strong – beware! My favorite is the iced mocha. Yum. They also serve amazing food! Today I tried a turkey and avocado panini and it was life changing. Their donuts selection is also irresistible, so come hungry.
There are so many cool coffee hubs in College Station that I am dying to try. Once I get a chance to try them all, I’ll make an updated post, but for now I strongly recommend these places! Enjoy your coffee!
